Hello Loves! A few days ago I had the pleasure of hosting a holiday luncheon for Roots and Rye with a group of fabulous bloggers from the Bay Area. Roots and Rye recently revamped their lunch menu so I was super excited to try it. Being a seafood lover, I picked the Dayboat Scallop dish which comes on a bed of kohlrabi puree, buttered kohlrabi, lemon curd, celery flowers, lemon cloud. It was so yummy! I also ordered the destructed Chicken Pot Pie which was just as tasty. The hit of the event though was the burrata and grilled cheese sandwiches, which most of us ordered. I had a chance to take some quick bites and I could see why they’re so popular. The burrata just melts in your mouth! If you’re in the Santana Row area in San Jose sometimes, be sure to stop by Roots and Rye and check out their lunch menu.

Special thanks to Flower Story, Amore Paper & Ink and Sprinkles Cupcakes for helping us make this event extra special and beautiful! I absolutely love the gorgeous calligraphy design, floral centerpiece and candles. Together created such a warm, gorgeous holiday vibe.

Happy Friday Loves! Every girl needs a cute scarf for fall and I found my perfect one! I’m collaborating with Santana Row today to share with you one my favorite fall finds, this gorgeous tartan plaid scarf I recently scored from H&M! If you’re on Instagram, you’ve probably seen this scarf before. It’s a very popular print and it’s almost always sold by boutiques. Since I have sensitive skin, I prefer trying on scarves before buying them which was why I had put off getting one for a long time. Coincidently, out on a mini shopping spree I spotted this scarf in the corner of my eye and I rushed to it so fast I almost tripped. LOL! This scarf is so soft and it’s huge. It’s square shaped and as big as a throw blanket. The material is light and airy, making it easy to style.

To highlight the scarf, I’m wearing it with white jeans and a basic top. It’s a chic and casual look that can be transitioned from work to play. It’s perfect for casual Fridays, don’t you think?

Happy Tuesday Lovelies! Last week I shared with you my day at Santana Row (here and here), one of my favorite shopping destinations in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you ever visit the Bay Area, this is one of the few shopping hotspots you don’t want to miss. Since we had such a great time that day, we decided to end the week with a date night at Hotel Valencia in Santana Row. This was our first date night since Christian was born, and of course he also came along. Luckily for us he slept through most of dinner and occasionally waking up to check out the pretty scenery, especially the beautiful and colorful bougainvillea wall (you’ll see it at the bottom of this post. It’s gorgeous!). We’re so lucky to have such an easy-going baby!

Our first stop in Hotel Valencia was Terrace, a beautiful outdoor area nestled within the hotel that serves cocktails and appetizer small plates. Don’t be fool by the name because these small plates are very generously portioned.  Good thing we came with an appetite! Everything from the shrimp cocktail, beef yakitori skewers, Maine lobster rolls, slider burgers and cheese plate were all delicious. My favorite was the Maine lobster rolls. They’re some of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area. I can’t wait to come back another time to have it again. I’m glad I wore this beautiful lace dress from Lulu’s. It’s form fitted yet it left me plenty of room to wine and dine.

Our fun night wasn’t over yet as we decided to make a quick stop at V Bar to unwind. Check out my experience at V Bar here or your can click on the button below.
