Rompin’

It’s been awhile since I wore a romper, so a romper post is due! To be honest, I always find the whole bathroom situation a bit too awkward when wearing a romper, so subconsciously I tend to choose a dress over a romper.  But there have been times when a romper is so cute that I simply forget about the inconvenience of wearing one. For example, a cute romper like this one I’m wearing today. When I first saw this blue romper at Y&I (a cute clothing boutique in San Francisco), my heart skipped a beat. I love the vibrant blue color, soft airy fabric and those to-die-for off the shoulder sleeves. Swooning! It’s so adorable and flirty!

When wearing a color as bright as the cobalt blue, I like to pair it with accessories that are equally vibrant. This orange cross body and blue druzy bracelet are the perfect accessories to go with this blue romper.

During the first couple of months of pregnancy, I was considering taking a break from the blog. While I love playing dress up, I had difficutly hiding my in-between bump. You know, that stage where people aren’t sure whether you’d just gained some weight or you’re full-on pregnant. But now that I’m starting to show, I feel quite relieved and excited to venture into this completely new territory, maternity style!

Before I was pregnant I used to walk pass Motherhood Maternity at the mall and secretly envisioned myself wearing their clothes. Well, now that curiosity has become a reality, I couldn’t be more thrilled! I’m so excited to be partnering with Mothermood Maternity and A Pea In The Pod on a fall style series. I can’t wait to share more with you in my upcoming posts.

I adore this Jessica Simpson bodycon dress. The fabric is light and stretchy, and the silhouette is flattering. I am used to seeing maxi maternity dresses so this dress is definitely a breath of fresh air. If you like this dress, check out this and similar styles on Motherhood Maternity.

A New Blessing

Hello everyone & happy Halloween! I don’t have a Halloween costume today but I do have some wonderful news to share with you. Luis and I are expecting our first child together. We feel very blessed, excited and nervous all at the same time. Between us, we have 17 nieces and nephews so on the surface it seems like we’ve got it down, but not really. We’re still trying to figure things out, but we’re enjoying every moment of this blessed time. Our families are over the moon, obviously. My mom somehow thinks she knows the gender of our baby already. ;)

As of right now, I’m in the middle of my second trimester. The first trimester wasn’t too bad, I was lucky to not have any morning sickness (knock on wood!). Playing dress up is a little bit harder now that I no longer fit into most of my clothes, so I do have a valid excuse to go shopping again! Exploring maternity fashion is something so new and exciting to me. I can’t wait to share with you my maternity style for the next several months. It’ll be fun!

Have a safe and happy Halloween again. Thank you so much for reading!
