Hello loves! If you have followed this blog from the beginning, you know how much I adore skater skirts, specifically this one. This is actually the third time I’ve restyled this black skater skirt and it never gets old. I promise it’s not because I’m running out of things to wear, haha. You can check out my other styling of this skirt here: un, deux, trois.
On the day of this shoot, Luis and I had planned to have lunch in Santana Row — a semi-posh shopping district in the South Bay. I normally don’t dress up going to lunch but Santana Row isn’t a place to get caught looking too comfortable. So in the spirit of Santana Row and our anniversary, I decided to whip out my favorite skater skirt and pair it with a mini orange dress that I wore as a top here. It was a bit chilly so I paired the outfit with a grey cardigan for warmth and comfort.
During lunch I went into the bathroom to wash my hands, and as I glanced up in the mirror I had an overwhelming thought of Halloween’s. Although the vibrant orange and black combination makes a bold statement, it’s also hard to not associate it with Halloween’s. I’m still glad I wore this outfit though. This dress and skirt are too darn cute to not take the risk.
